To find if I have another version I have to click around & select other (hidden) versions.

App Shelf makes a new version file - but it only shows in the list as version 1.2 A quick look and I can't see the correct version. I have say version 1.2 of Appx, then I pay for version 2. ?Īnother problem I noticed was with versions. Now it won't import the serials form the second bundle (presumably because there are the same apps in there - though with different serials numbers). Nope still wants to put them in the other category! Ok I'll do it manually. Ok I go through and do this - now the second bundle - I rename the category I want them in to appear first in the list. Now I have to select 9 times the category I want (instead of bulk select). Try downloading MUP bundle serials (say 9 serials at a time).

The whole reason I upgraded, was to to move my 200+ apps into new categories - but you can't! Probably ok if you don't have any serials to start with. What a nightmare to update! Took me a week! I hope you have a better time. To me, it's one of those rare apps that's coded so well and just always works beautifully. Plus, because the information is of a different nature, I like to keep it separated and not all in one app). (I could use SP for my licenses too, but prefer to have AppShelf for that - this way, it keeps both apps leaner without so much data to juggle / bog down. Reminds me of the stability and usefulness of SafePlace, which I still use to this day for my login info. I think it's a great value for a great price. T never feels like it is bogging down the CPU on my older Mac. It only uses 2 windows (info and attachment) instead of multiple tabs, and I really like that. Mostly these features are in the other apps too, but I like the way AppShelf handles it.

It does a pretty good job of scanning for serials, and allows for attachments (linked or copied). It now allows you to make separate folders. It is fast and efficient, never crashes, never gets corrupted.

After testing, I chose to stay AppShelf and upgrade to Version 2. Then, Version 2 is out, so I decided to take another look at the competitors before upgrading AppShelf. It was lacking some of the features from competitors, but it worked very well. As an owner of Version 1, I was pleased with its efficiency.
